Speed looked at Eric; he looked a shock as he did. “If we leave now, think we can make Miami by midnight?”
“They would kill us,” Eric pointed out.
“We’re getting married.” Speed smiled at him.
“Yeah we are.” Eric pulled him into his arms and kissed him deeply. “More importantly… we have the cabin all to ourselves.”
“So this would be the wedding morning?” Speed grinned as he pulled Eric towards the bedroom.
“Practice for later.” Eric smiled. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.” Speed kissed him tenderly. “But I’m not taking your name.”

Eric pushed Speed down on to the bed. “God I want you.”
Speed cupped Eric’s cheeks and pulled him into a heated kiss as he settled between his lover’s legs, hands slipping under the soft material, caressing smooth skin. Speed arched into the touch, moaning Eric’s name.
A cough interrupted them.
Speed and Eric looked at the bedroom door to see Marisol standing there. Eric gaped at his sister while Speed just smirked. “Can I help you?”
“Mom ordered you two apart.” Marisol came around the bed and pulled Eric off it by his ear. “You’re not supposed to see the bride before the wedding.”
“I’m so not the bride.” Speed sat up.
“No, he’s the bitchy one,” the eldest Delko agreed. “Alexx will be here soon to take you suit shopping; meantime, I’m taking this brat with me.”
“Can you let go of my ear?” Eric pulled away from his sister. “You can tell Mom…”
She just looked at him. “You are so in the doghouse, you should be happy we’re letting you marry him.”
Eric blinked. “But…”
Marisol glared at him.
“Okay, I’m going.” He leaned over and quickly kissed Speed with everything he had. “I’ll see you soon.”
Speed kissed him once more. “I love you.”
“Sappy much.” Marisol smiled brightly then proceeded to drag her brother away.

Alexx walked into the living room to see her boy sleeping in the chair by the fireplace. She eased the hair out of his face and soothed his forehead. Speed stirred, and blinking, he looked up at her. “Alexx?”
“Have you been a sleep long?” She asked, kneeling down in front of him.
“Not too long, after Marisol dragged Eric out. I figured I would read some; I guess I was more tired than I thought.”
“You’ve had a rough couple of days.” She smoothed back his hair. “I’m going to ask this, because I’m your mother and I care about you.”
“What is it Alexx?” He looked at her slightly confused.
“Are you sure you want to marry Eric?” Alexx asked. “He hurt you deeply. I heard it in your voice; it scared me how hollow and dead it was.”
He gave her a small smile. “I’m sure. As much as it hurt…” He blinked back tears. “Some good things came out of it. We actually talked, got things out and I…we understand each more.”
“Marriage is a big step…” she pointed out.
“I know.” Speed leaned over and kissed her forehead. “I can’t see my life without him. I love him.”
“As long as you’re happy…” Alexx stood up. “But if you he hurts you…”
“I think he’s too terrified of his sisters at the moment.” The young man smiled. “So suit shopping.” He grimaced.
“Up and lets go; you’re getting married and we have to find you a decent suit in less than three hours.” Alexx pulled him up out of the chair and towards the door.
“Three hours?” Speed asked, horrified.
“Actually one hour for you, then we need to find a dress for the mother of the…” Speed eyed her as she smirked. “Groom.”
“I love you.” He leaned over and kissed her cheek.
“That’s my boy. Come on, lets go.” She dragged him out of the house.

“Hello…” Calleigh and Horatio walked into the restaurant.
“Hello, you must be some of Tim’s co-workers.” Helena smiled at them.
“Horatio Caine; this is Calleigh Duquesne.” Horatio answered. “So what exactly is going on? We just got a call from Alexx to get up here.”
“Well, it seems Timothy and Eric have decided to get married,” she explained.
Horatio smiled, remembering the hours spent agonizing over the ring. “So Speed popped the question.”
“Actually it was Eric, who proposed.” An older man walked in. “I’m Paul, Tim’s father.”
Both looked at him, shocked. “I’m sorry, I didn’t realize…” Horatio held his hand out.
“It’s okay. We just now started to heal our relationship with Timothy.” Helena smiled at him. “From what we understand, there was a situation between the two lovers, but it got worked out and now they are getting married.”
“I’ll call Alexx.” Calleigh grabbed her cell phone and moved a way from the small group.
Horatio looked at the young blonde woman then back at Speed’s parents. “Do you need any help?”

Eric shifted in his seat as his whole family surrounded him. He knew this wasn’t good. “Doesn’t the shovel lecture normally go to the potential mate?”
“At this moment we’re adopting Tim, and you, my dear Eric, are the potential mate who has and could hurt our child.” Clorinda eyed her son. “Only reason I’m not screaming at you in, Russian or Spanish is because Tim has found it in his heart to forgive your lapse into stupidity.”
Eric wisely kept his mouth shut.
“I want you to answer us honestly.” Pavel looked at his son. “Do you love him?”
“Yes.” Eric stood up and looked at his family; he sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “Look, I know I screwed up, okay? I came way too fucking close to losing him not to realize that. We talked it out, got some issues out in the open. But that’s between him and me. I love him with everything that I am, and I will spend my life showing him that.”
Clorinda smiled and pulled her son into a hug. “My boy is getting married.”

Eric looked out onto the snow-covered landscape. He had to admit, once he got over the whole ‘cold’ issue, it was very beautiful. He didn’t want to spend a large amount of time in it; well, unless it was wrapped in front of a fireplace with Speed.
He hadn’t talked with his fiancé since Marisol dragged him out of the small cabin. He had got little information out of Horatio, who had stopped by; just that Alexx was taking care of Speed.
He glanced down at the suit he was wearing: a simple black suit with a dark blue shirt. He hoped Speed had a dark burgundy shirt. Eric had always loved it when Speed wore his grey suit with the burgundy shirt; matter of fact it pretty much guaranteed Speed would get pounced on when he got home from court.
He glanced behind him staring at the nightstand as it shook, laughing he reached over and grabbed his cell phone.
“Isn’t this against tradition?”
‘We’re two males getting married in a restaurant. I seriously doubt there’s anything traditional about it,’ Speed snarked back. ‘Unless you’re wearing a white beaded gown of some sort.’
Eric snorted into the phone. “In your dreams, Speedle.”
‘Would you if I asked?’
Eric stared at the phone. “Okay, how much have you had to drink?”
‘Alexx won’t let me near the liqueur cabinet.’ Speed sighed. ‘I so could use a stiff drink to calm my nerves.’
“Tim…” Eric leaned against the window looking out. “Do you want to do this?”
There was a pause on the other end. ‘Yes.’ Eric took a deep breath. ‘And before you ask me if I’m sure, yes I am. I’m not nervous about marrying you. I’m nervous about standing in front of those people and spilling my soul out in front of them.’
“We could elope,” the younger man suggested.
‘Yours, mine, and the lab would kill us.’ Speed laughed. ‘The only thing that sucks is we won’t get a honeymoon. Unless Horatio surprises us with extra time off…’
“Doubt it.” Eric sighed. “We had to fight to get this; we are so behind on lab and paper work, let alone the new cases coming in.”
‘I love you.’ Speed’s voice became very serious.
“I love you, too,” Eric whispered back. “See you soon.”

Alexx smiled over at her boy. “I’m going to ignore you just spent the past ten minutes talking with Eric.”
Speed grinned at her. “It only says you can see the bride before the wedding, not talk with him.”
“You look very handsome, if I do say so myself.” She smoothed down his dark suit jacket. “And I know Eric is going to love the dark burgundy shirt.”
“Guaranteed pouncing.” He smirked wickedly.
“Tim?” Hannah stood by the door, watching the two interact. A sharp pain went through her heart. It should be her smoothing out the wrinkles and teasing him before he gets married.
“Mom.” Speed looked over at her, a small smile on his face. “You need something?”
“Just wanted to see my son before he got married.” She walked into the room.
“I’ll go check to see if everything is set up.” Alexx smiled and kissed Speed on the cheek. “See you soon, sugar.”
“Thanks Alexx.” He gave her a heart-warming smile.
Hannah watched Alexx leave, closing the door behind her. She turned back towards her son a sad expression on her face. “It pains me to see you treat her like your mother.”
“She’s all I had,” Speed answered honestly, turning away and moving towards the window. “She adopted me the moment I stepped foot into the lab, declared me too thin and scruffy. I fought her tooth and toenail. I didn’t need a mother.” He turned back around a smile on his face. “I had gotten sick, laid out flat on my back…”
“You rarely got sick as a kid, but when you did.” She shook her head. “You were down for the count.”
“Still am,” Speed sighed. “Alexx showed up with medicine and chicken soup. She wouldn’t leave my side. She later told me it was practice, since she had her firstborn the next year.”
“I’m glad she was there for you,” she smoothed out the suit wrinkles. “I just hope in time we can get what we had.”
“No.” Speed shook his head. “I don’t want what we had; I want something better.”
Hannah choked back the tears. “I would like that.”
“Hey.” Tim wiped the tears away. “No crying at my wedding.”
“It’s my duty, as mom, to cry. It’s in the handbook.” She laughed through the tears.

“Hey.” Marisol stepped up to her brother. “How are you doing?”
“Good.” Eric turned towards her. “Anxious, wanting to get on with it.”
“No second thoughts?” she asked.
He shook his head. “Not one.”
“Even though we gave you hard time about what happened with Tim,” she paused, “I don’t want you feeling pressured into doing something you don’t want to.”
“I proposed to him,” Eric pointed out. “No pressure from anyone. I just looked at him and saw my future in his eyes…”
Marisol smiled and leaned over and kissed his cheek. “That’s beautiful.”
“Well, after three older sisters forcing me to watch all the chick flicks, read sappy romances, and endure hours of gossip and lectures of what women look for in a man, I learned a few things.” He grinned. “Though if you ever tell Speed that…”
“It’s our secret.” She smiled as she took his arm. “It’s time to go.”
“I’m getting married.” Eric beamed.
Marisol gave him a watery smile. “Yes, you are.”

Speed stepped into the back banquet room and stared in awe. The girls, in such a short period of time, really outdid themselves. There was a Christmas tree in the corner decorated with white lights, gold bows, and under the tree were rows of planted Poinsettias.
“Timothy.”
Speed turned towards the speaker. He frowned slightly, not recognizing the older gentleman. “I’m sorry…”
“It’s been a while.” He laughed lightly. “Henry Jefferson; it’s more Judge Jefferson.”
“Mr. Jefferson.” Tim blushed. “I didn’t recognize you.”
“It’s been a while.” Judge Jefferson patted his shoulder. “I think last time I saw you was…” He frowned.
“After the accident.” Speed squeezed his shoulder. “It’s okay. I’ve finally put it behind me.”
“Good…” He nodded. “Your parents have been updating me on your success down in Miami.”
The younger man blushed. “It’s really …”
“Don’t listen to a word he says, Judge.” Horatio stepped up. “His solve rate is one of the highest, and though he’ll deny it, he’s considered one of the top Trace Experts in the field.”
Speed grumbled and blushed more. “Horatio…”
“Congratulations are in order.” Henry smiled at the blushing young man.
“You’ll be performing the ceremony?” Tim asked.
“When your mother called, I couldn’t say no.” Judge Jefferson patted him on the shoulder. “We should get into position; your ‘bride’ should be here soon.”
“Don’t let Eric hear you say that.” Horatio moved to take his seat next to Calleigh and Alexx.
Speed had a moment of panic go through him as he stood next to the Judge. What if Eric didn’t show up? What if he froze in the middle of it? What if…
All of his doubts vanished when he saw Eric standing at the door. Their eyes met and time stilled. There was so much emotion and love flowing between them. Their focus and attention centered on each other. They didn’t hear or see the family crying as they took each other’s hand. They answered the right questions and repeated the right phrases, but they never looked away from each other.
“Tim?” Judge Jefferson smiled at the two men. “Tim?”
Speed turned towards him, a bit annoyed. “Yes.”
“Rings?”
“Oh.. yes…” Speed dug into his pocket and pulled out Eric’s ring, as Eric did the same.
The Judge looked down at the identical rings and smiled. “I think this shows that you two are meant to be. Without even realizing, you chose the same ring for the other.”
Both men turned and looked at the rings, and shock registered on their faces. The Judge was right; the rings were identical. Speed turned towards Eric and pulled him into a deep kiss.
“Hey, I didn’t say you can do that yet.” The Judge poked at them.
“Sorry.” Speed’s eyes were on Eric.
“No you’re not, but that’s okay.” Henry grinned and handed the ring to Speed. “Repeat after me, Eric I give you this ring to show my commitment to you…”
“Eric,” Speed’s hand was slightly shaking when he took Eric’s in his, “I give you this ring to show my commitment to you…”
“With this ring I thee, wed.”
Speed eyed the Judge and grinned, “With this ring I thee, wed.”
Henry handed the second ring to Eric, “Repeat after me. Tim, I give you this ring to show my commitment to you…”
Eric squeezed Speed’s hand and slipped on the Celtic ring. “Tim, I give you this ring to show my commitment to you…” He glanced over at the Judge who just made a small hand motion. “With this ring I thee, wed.”
“I now pronounce you married.” He poked Speed. “Now you can kiss him.”
Speed didn’t hesitate; he pulled Eric back into his arms and kissed him deeply. Eric pulled back a smile on his face, tears in his eyes. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.” They rested their foreheads against each other. “Now we just got to get rid of the family.”
Eric laughed and kissed him again.

Speed was comfortable in Eric’s arms as the two leaned against the wall and watched their friends and family talk and mingle. Horatio had surprised them and got them a few more days off. They had to be back at work on January 2nd at 8am, and they couldn’t be late.
“Can we sneak off now?” Eric asked a slight whine in his voice.
“No.” Marisol grinned at the two of them. “You have to cut the cake, and then you two can run off, not to be seen until January 2nd at 8am.”
Speed pulled Eric towards the cake, much to the amusement of the crowd. The parents looked on with smiles on their faces as the two cut the cake and fed it to each other; you would have to be blind not to see the heat and love passed between the two men. Everyone wished them well and the mothers gave them hugs and kisses as they made their way to the door.
“Oh, one last thing.” Clorinda looked at the two of them. She bit back a grin at the impatient look they both had. “Now that you are married, when can I expect grandkids?”
Eric looked horrified and Speed laughed. “We’ll work on as soon as we get back to the cabin.” And with that, Speed smirked and pulled Eric out the door.
~ Cabin ~
Eric barely got the door opened and closed before Speed jumped him. Their suit jackets hit the floor, followed by their ties, shoes and shirts. Eric moaned as Speed’s hand cupped his hard cock, stroking it through the suit pants.
“I need you so much.” Eric thrust into the touch.
Speed licked up his neck, sucking on the ear, before taking his mouth into a deep kiss. “I want to make love to you by the fire…”
“God.” Eric pulled him into the living room and stopped. On the floor was a large blanket and pillows, next to it a bucket with a champagne bottle in it. “Wow…”
Speed slipped his arms around the taller man’s waist. “Nice.” He began to kiss up his neck. “We should put it to use.”
Eric turned in his arms and pulled him towards the set up, kneeling down on the blanket. He unzipped Tim’s suit pants and pulled out the hard, leaking cock. Leaning over, he took the head into his mouth and swirled his tongue around it. Speed moaned, his hands slipping into the short hair urging Eric to take him deeper. The younger man licked up and down the shaft, before taking him fully into his mouth. His hands slid Speed’s pants down his legs, and then caressed back up his thighs cupping his ass as he worked over the hard cock.
Speed moaned in pleasure, thrusting into the warm mouth. He shouted and came hard when he felt Eric’s finger trace down his entrance. Eric swallowed everything down, and then licked his lips for good measure. Tim quickly stripped out of his pants and dropped to his knees, taking his lover’s mouth into a deep kiss, tasting himself on his tongue.
He pushed Eric down onto the blanket and pulled off his suit pants with a quick tug, tossing them over his shoulders. Eric laughed and pulled Speed down onto him, moaning as their hot flesh touched. Speed rolled them until Eric was on top, spreading his legs for the younger man to settle between them.
“I want you.” Speed’s voice was filled with emotion. “Need to feel you deep inside, thrusting in and out as I wrap my legs around you.”
Eric sat up and looked down at his husband. “I love you so much, and … I almost lost this…” He cupped Speed’s scruffy cheek. “I’m so sorry, my love…I hurt you …”
Speed sat up and pulled Eric into his arms. “That’s behind us. This is our future. You are now my husband.” He smiled. “Please, Eric, love me hard and deep.”
He reached over to the small tray, trying not to think which sister set up the lube for them. He laid his lover back down and spread his legs, a slick finger entering him gently. Speed moaned and pushed down on the digit, demanding more. Eric took his time in preparing him, making his husband squirm with pleasure.
“Eric, get in me, NOW!” Speed growled out, his hands clutching the blanket.
“Not even married a day and already demanding.” Eric grinned as he entered in one hard thrust.
Tim’s head fell back in pleasure a moan escaping past his lips. “More.”
Eric pulled out and pushed back in. “Like that, Tim?”
“Yes, oh God…” he cried out with each thrust. He took a hold of his renewed erection and stroked it, matching each of Eric’s thrusts.
“You feel so good, love,” he moaned, his thrusts becoming harder and wilder. “So tight and hot around me….So close.”
Speed arched and met each of the deep thrusts, his own orgasm so close. “Harder, please…”
Eric braced himself and began to pound into his lover, moaning with each thrust, lost in the pleasure of being connected. He moaned and managed one more hard thrust before coming with a shout, his semen spilling deep inside his lover. Speed felt Eric come, and with one last stroke, Speed followed his husband over the edge, spilling his seed all over their stomachs.
The two men came down from their orgasmic high, panting softly, their sweat soaked bodies kept warm by the roaring fire. Eric slipped out of him and quickly cleaned them up before curling around Speed, facing the fire.
“Merry Christmas,” Speed whispered as he fell asleep.
Eric kissed his shoulder. “Merry Christmas.” He followed his husband into an easy slumber.
