Ballet Day

So it’s Ballet Day.  I would recommend to everyone to see Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake – no seriously!

And yes I do have a Sylum Snippet – not it’s not from my list 🙂

“Where are we going?” Ben asked as his Mate dragged him down the street.

“Salder’s Well.” He answered as they turned the corner.  “An old Mate of mine dances there.”

“Dances?”  Ben asked as he waited for Darren to pick up tickets at the Will Call.  “What are you dragging me to see?”

“Swan Lake, the all male version.  It’s kinda hot, sad and did I mention leather pants?”  Darren gave him a grin, then took his hand loving the fact the two of them could be open.   They had middle row seats about ten rows back from the stage.   

By the time the play ended Ben had tears in his eyes. ” That was beautiful, and sad – that sucked man.  Just let the Prince be happy with his damn fucking swan!” 

Darren kissed him and wiped away the tears. “Wanna meet the Prince?”

Ben wiped the tears and stared at his Mate.  “Your buddy is the lead? How in the hell did a ballerina … wait what do you call a male ballerina?”

“Ballerino technically, but mostly we just get called danseur or principle dancers.”  Kit answered then stepped up to Darren and gave him a hug.  “I’m glad you made it.”

“I’m sorry took this long to get here.”  Darren patted his back and stepped back.  “It’s been a rough year.  Ben this is Christian Soames, also known as Kit.”

“I read.”  Kit held his hand out to Ben.  “Hurt him and you’ll see what us Ballerina’s are capable of.”

“How do a Rugby player and danseur become friends?”  Ben believed Kit could do some damage.  

“I took dance in school, was told it helped with balance.   Kit was already on his way to become lead dancer, and helped.   I showed him how to flatten any idiot who said anything stupid.”  Darren glanced towards the door when it opened.  

Kit smiled at the newcomer. “Darren this is Dr. Caleb Knight – a friend.”

The two gave each other a hard stare.  “Doctor.”  Now he just need to find out what this doctor who happened to be a Vampire wanted with his friend.
