Boxing Day Results.
Guys it was a tie.
Here’s the thing – the Tied section didn’t win. Just that it came down to a tie between Speed & Tony.
This made me laugh hysterically, that it still ended up a tie.
So I decided to have fun with this Boxing Day.
Nico sat back in his normal chair, with his hot cocoa that was heavily doctored with some whisky. Warrick was settled next to him, barely watching his spread that was live feed from Vegas for this particular betting pool. Kenway was nestled in his hammock, sloth and pirate taking a nap.
It actually had been a lazy afternoon.
Christmas was pleasant, simple, quiet one would even say boring. But damn it felt good after so much drama over the past couple of decades! Everyone was home, there was no crazy Rogue trying to kill them. No internal dramas to make things difficult. The council had left them alone, for once. No aliens, well besides the ones they already deal with.
“Do you think the kids have it in them?” Warrick asked leaning close to his Mate. It was a cold Boxing Day. “It’s been a quiet calm year, no anger or frustrations to get out.”
“They have been working more and more together these past years.” Nico shrugged. He remembered the early years when the fights were vicious. It had taken Speed time to get his skills up to match a war trained Tony. Once he did the fights got more even. As the years, decades, centuries went by it seemed that for either to truly win, there had to be motivation behind it. Lately they enjoyed taking on opponents, working and fighting together.
“Actually where are the kids?” Warrick asked looking around, the fight should’ve already started.
“Tell me we’re not freezing out here, while they are lounging inside.”
There was some raised voices, insults flying back and forth with ease. Tony and Speed stepped out onto the porch and headed towards the sparring area, only to pause.
“Damn it’s cold.” Tony shivered as they stepped onto the grass. “It’s Louisiana why is it this cold?”
“Telling me you can’t handle a bit of frost?” Speed snarked at him.
“I don’t come with an original fur coat, pup.” Tony rolled his eyes but hadn’t moved. “You’re going to tell me that you would rather be out here, fighting it out or curled up with Horatio with the furs on your bed.”
Speed paused. “Point. So … ” He waved his hand around not sure if he should just tackle him to the ground and be done with it.
“I’m calling it a tie, and going in to find my Mate and some coffee.” Tony gave his brother a pointed look.
“Yeah sounds good to me.” With that they both walked back up the stairs and into the kitchen.
“Well that was anti-climatic.” Warrick muttered, pretty sure he just lost some money on that particular bet. The bastards.
Nico chuckled then gave his Mate a smirk. “How about a hot bath?”
“And we’re done here!” The pirate was out of his chair, pulling up his Mate and heading for the rooms.
They seem to be wising up. I was looking forward to watching Tony use some more fancy fighting he learned from his kid, though. Next year, maybe.
I honestly thought Tony was going to win this year, hence I laughed when it was a tie tie. I may have to do some ‘historical’ matches for the boys.
LMAO!! Those two are getting soft in their old age.” In the end everyone got what they wanted — except a winner! LOLLOLLOL **G **
—Naj 😀 😀 ♥️♥️
Honestly! It was cold! I don’t blame them at all
