Who’s Who of the Murder Birds – Part 4

 

I’ll be doing a series of reveals of the Murder Birds!  The hows, wheres, and whens are coming.

Reminder – the character you see, though distinct to a particular show may not be the story used as we stole the ‘actor/character’ and took them out of the confines of the story.  

Note: I normally don’t show case the fandom especially for the Murder Birds as it has no relevance to the storyline.   But Salvor & Hugo are from a show called Foundation.  There are also two other characters you’ll meet later also from that show.   It’s on Apple TV – Watch it you’ll enjoy it!  The main character is played by Lee Pace (our Cesare) and the one fighting him is Jared Harris (our Galileo) – you can see why we were attracted to it.

All advent offerings have been archived!  So please feel free to check it out, and if want leave a note to the author or artist.

As stated last month, we’ll be slowly removing the stories/art from the blog, this is taking time.   

We will make updates as we go on which has been moved over.

Now – go enjoy the archive.   Check out some of the older works and let those know you’re enjoying them.  

After all some of us have been doing this for 20 years now (feels very old suddenly)

Big Bang – Reminder

 

Just sending out a reminder, that this year there will be no Seven Days of Summer, instead we’re going to focus on having a Sylum Big Bang.

We’ll start posting sign ups in a couple of weeks.

We’re also changing timeline slightly to give everyone plenty of time to get stories done.

We’ll be posting in October, instead of July.  

Instead of a Seven Days – I’ll be posting fun 20th Anniversary stuff during that month!  What that will be – not sure yet, but fun to find out.

So if you’re interested in the Big Bang, keep an eye out for sign ups.

Spring Fling 2025: Last Day for Sign Ups

 

Spring Fling is to showcase Artwork, Fanmixes, Videos, and Aesthetics.  No stories for Spring Fling those are showcased for Seven Days and Advent!

  • Aesthetics
  • Artwork
    • Digital (wallpapers, designs specific for phones/tablets)
    • Memes (make something up that fits Sylum)
    • Original (draw, paint then scan or take a picture)
  • Fanmix (make a playlist of songs for your favorite character, pairing or clan)
  • Fanvids (you don’t have to make a hollywood production, can do a slide show set to music)

 

Dates to Remember:

Sign Ups: January 20th – 31st

Art/Fanmix/Vids Due: April 12th

Spring Fling Starts: April 20th

What do you need to do to participate?

You will need to sign up and state what your interested in doing

How do I sign up?

There are two ways to sign up!

  • Reply to this Post: Just hit reply with what your interested in doing and contact info for us to get a hold of you.

Sign Ups close January 31st.  If we do not get your request, by the 31st it will not be included.

Is there a deadline of when the Art/Video/Fanmix needs to be Finished?

Yes!

  • Posts will be made through March on the blog for participants can check in.
  • All art/videos/fanmixs will need to finished and emailed to (sylumclan@gmail.com) by April 12th.  For those who have drawn something for Spring Fling – please scan to jpg and send via email.
  • Spring Fling will start April 20th.

Side Note: The picture of the bird – is actually a Murder Bird – it’s an Australian bird – the cassowary – that can actually kill and do damage to humans.  It’s stated that it’s a direct descendent of the Velociraptor … so yes MURDER BIRD! 😀
