How are you doing with the hurricane? Just keep us posted you’re alright.

The music from HTTYD is very good actually. My favorite piece is ‘Forbidden Friendship’

  1. My music is like my art … Depends on the artist and the song, not the genre … Though IMHO a lot of RAP seems to be a genre for people who can’t sing. My playlists have everything from indigenous, classical, country, acapella, all sub-genres of rock (Ozzy to Stevie Nicks), Dean’s Playlist from SPN, Christian Kane (Daniel Boone, Lindsey McDonald, Jake Stone), Steve Carlson (David Crockett), Celtic. A lot of today’s actors are also fantastic musicians ala Jensen Ackles and Riley Smith. I just LOVE music.

I’m about the same, though I do have a tendency to go towards instrumental than song. The ones I do pick all depend on how they inspire or motivate me.

Lately I’ve been loving Tiesto a lot of his stuff has been inspiring the POI/Sylum style bunnies of late.

I listen to most music though I’m not a huge fan of blues or jazz. Rap depends on who it is and how much profanity is in it. I LOVE classical music, however. Brahms, Chopin and Beethoven are some of my favorites. I also have a fondness for soundtracks and am currently very into the Try Everything song from Zootopia. 😀

  3. I find songs in a genre that I live. I love instrumentals, usually with a main instrument in the lead rather than a full orchestra. I grew up on country, listen to the new songs from Deep Purple to the Beatles. Not a fan of Blue Grass or opera.

I love songs that speak to me, songs I can feel and sing along to.

  4. I am fairly open minded when it comes to music so I listen to a wide variety of genres. If you look at my mp3 player there is stuff from classical, country, jazz, rock, Hawaiian, jpop, kpop, etc. etc.

I’m currently listening to music from Wagakki Band which is a Japanese rock band that uses traditional Japanese instruments in their music.

When I was growing up, my mother never had the radio on in the house or the car; she sold real estate and was on the phone all the time, and I would get in trouble for even singing in the shower. My grandmother, on the other hand, had a player piano, so I got a lot of oldies, classical, Broadway, that sort of thing. It wasn’t until middle and high school that I even got exposed to more modern music, when I started driving and having the radio on in my own car. These days I’ll listen to just about anything – I go more by the individual artist than the genre.

I also have individual playlists for specific characters. If it’s music I think the character would listen to, I’ll play it even if I don’t like it, to put me in that mindset.
