Working through a pile … Indigenous divination and healing practices. A little Jung and Freud for my Advent fic, just to know how to put what I know intuitively into words. Long road trip … trashy paranormal romance.
Almost forgot … Loved Dissociation. Crazy about Afternoon Fic.
FYI: Here’s a message I get on the Wiki and the blog when moving from page to page …
500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Ick! We’re on a shared server so there are times when moving between the blog and the wikiblog (as their both wordpress) is heavy on graphics and information so it crashes or times out so you have to click it a few damn times 🙁 … also check to make sure you’re logged into the sylum website – the wikiblog is behind the password and sometimes cookies forget the passwords and won’t let you in.
I am currently reading the US Navy Enlisted guide so that I will be ready when I go to RTC but for fun I have been reading my way through my dad’s David Eddings collection. I am currently midway through The Belgariad series and I am loving every second of it. There is something truly amazing about the way Eddings spins a world and creates new characters.
Well its not reading per say but I have been listening to audio books at work finished Moonraker yesterday, have a printed book called bonewhite that I’m getting ready to try to read when I have to go for jury Duty on the 24th also going to pick up a sketch pad as I’ve been told the waiting is boring.
I have been keeping myself busy re-reading Dorothy Gilman’s Mrs. Pollifax series of which I am currently on Mrs. Pollifax on Safari. I also enjoy reading manga & am currently reading Bleach vol. 70 & Kurosagi Shitai Takuhaibin (Kurosagi Delivery Service of Corpse) vol. 21, and finally, started reading a little Harry Potter fanfiction. *phew*
I love Mrs. Pollifax. They are some of the few Books my Mom owns. As I Librarian she has to really love a book to buy it because she is constantly borrowing books from the Library instead.
The werewolf AU I’m working on is heavily inspired by Patricia Briggs’ Mercedes Thompson series, so I’m rereading those, and also Mercedes Lackey’s Elemental Masters series for research on a fusion I’ve got planned. But I’ll read just about anything you put in front of me – except horror novels.
Mercedes Lackey’s Elemental Masters series – one of my favorites which I enjoy rereading. Her use of fairy tales as a jumping off point is fun especially the twists with powerful women making their own way in the world.
Currently, I am on a bit of a reading kick…going through books like water. In the middle of the Red Rising trilogy…one of the better YA dystopian futures I have come across.

Now that’s quite a collective group 🙂

Getting close to your enlisted date?

Yesterday I finished Completed Tales and Poems by Edgar Allen Poe.
Am now going to start on Magician by Raymond Feist, I think…

The Spy Who Came in from The Cold by John Le Carre (Alec Leamas is such a fucking asshole but you kinda root for him anyway).
Interior Castle by Saint Teresa of Avila (cos reasons).

Oh, and also I’m researching selkies because I have this very stubborn muse who insists that there’s a reason Tim won’t go in the water…
