Besides family and pets … A box that sits on my boveda containing bit and pieces of family. Wedding and masonic rings, eye glasses, favorite trinkets.
My cat Socrates, material stuff are replaceable, he is not!
Other than family and pets, my husband and I have a box that contains ‘important’ things…. Photos, documents etc, but his prize pocession are the medals that his Daddy got for serving in World War 2 in the British army as an Irish man. Mine are the medals my great grandfather got for fighting for Irish independence in 1916 and 1922.
Besides my family, nothing really. Maybe my Nook or iPod.
Besides my family, photos, my laptop, my tablet, and my phone. If I could I would also take some of my DVDs and Blu-Rays with me.
My family, pictures, Tuckercat and IPad & Surface. And pretty much anything I could fit in my vehicle. Since we stayed home thorough Hurricane Ike, I have thought about what I would take, cause this lady ain’t never doing that again!!! We are within 25-30 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. It was very noisy, louder than a freight train for hours.
My son-in-law and I stayed awake all night, listening to the noise, unable to sleep. My hubby went to bed when the electric went out and slept all night. Next morning son-in-law and I were pretty frazzled looking at the damage outside, when hubby walks up and says, “That wasn’t very bad at all.” I just smacked him in the arm and walked away.
my childhood teddy bear jock. he has moved all over the world with me and been my comfort thousands of miles from home alone. now he had pride of place on my bedside table. and obviously my cat lol.
