Most jobs we can still do ourselves. The older we get the longer it takes us to get them finished.
We always did, hubby is a handy man :D, but due to some chronic illnesses we can’t even go to work anymore. Still, we try to accomplish works like woodwork a.s.o.
I used to do a lot. Nowadays, what needs doing requires a step ladder; which I am no longer allowed to climb because of my vasovagal syncope. Merry’s afraid I’ll pass out, fall, and break a hip or worse. **sigh**

Put in my own flooring in kitchen (vinyl) with the help of one neighbor, and a youtube vid. DIY as much as possible..
that’s one advantage to living in an apartment. what i can no longer do myself someone else is paid to do.
