I have been twice. I had a lot of fun both times. Walked away with some really nifty things. Got to do some really cool things. Met some great people. Got to see some awesome panels.

That said, you have to be willing to get up early, wait in line, talk to strangers, ignore people who are rude, and not mind crowds. It also seems best to have at least one friend with you the whole time. (After all, you never know when you might need to escape the room for a moment and you do not want to lose your seat. Which leads me to the one important thing about comic con compared to other cons, it does not clear the room between events.)

One of the best moments I had…I was sitting right next to one of the question mics and had the whole “that voice sounds familiar” moment to discover it was Nathan Fillion in disguise…he was asking Joss Whedon a question. He, of course, was found out 🙂

And no, didn’t take pictures. I generally don’t take pictures of the actors. I like pictures of things and weird moments. Like the (official) sign stuck in the potted plant that read “End of the Line”…it was not the end of the line.

  2. I have never attended a comicon. I would love to see a panel with the Supernatural group. I don’t really want to ask questions or take photos with them, but I would love to hear what all was going on. They sound like fun.

  3. I have never been to Comic Con. Ever since I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa in 1998 my vision is still not very good. I can’t handle places or events with big crowds because all the noise of people talking or shouting etc. hurts my ears.
