My Vacation is almost over 🙁
So figured for today a good discussion – what is your post vacation ritual?
Laundry first? Check the mail? Toss suitcase into closet, shower and crash on couch?

So figured for today a good discussion – what is your post vacation ritual?

I have OCD – so first things unpack and get the suitcases and backpacks away followed by doing the washing (laundry), once that is done, I can go back to my routine!
I go out on the terrace first and enjoy the sense of HOME. drink a cup of coffee and get used to the smells and sounds again…
First thing throw the laundry in the machine when I hit the house. By this time I have hugged all the family and pets.
Normally the first thing I do when I get home is toss all my laundry in the wash including the sheets that were on my bed before I left. Then I’ll normally take a shower to get all the travel gunk off before tiding up while laundry finishes. I am terrible about actually putting laundry away unless I do it right when I bring it in so sometimes I’ll put it away but other times I just put my sheets on the bed and pass out.
Vacation. What vacation? I haven’t taken a vacation in years. I belong to the local vol. fire co. ladies aux and use my vacation time to work the lunches we have the second Friday of every month except for June, July, Aug and Dec. I get to the fire hall at 7:00 to start mixing the chicken salad (chick is cooked Thursday along with the veggie beef soup). We open at 11:00 and some time between 12:00 and 1:00 we get sold out of every thing. Clean up takes to about 2:00 or 3:00 depending when we sell out. Rest of vacation days I take here and there during the year.
Depending on when I get home, food comes first. Then it’s unpacking and totally crashing in front of whatever recorded on the DVR in the hope I can get over the jet lag and sleep at a normal time.
