Random Acts of Kindness

There seems to be so much negativity around us that it’s hard to see the good.

So lets showcase the good.

Did someone ever show you that random act of kindness?  Did you ever gift someone with kindness?  Did you see a positive influence or moment?

I was taking the bus to work and there was a lady on the bus with that had to be in her 60’s. She was very nicely dressed and wearing heels that had to be around 5″ high. She got off the same stop as I did so I saw her walking in the heels like it was nothing. If it had been me I would have broken my neck. I addressed her and told her as such and stated how much I admire ladies such as herself. We both started laughing and she very appreciative. Then a man that was in front of 7-11 said he could see my smile from half way down the block. He thanked me for brightening his day. I made 2 people smile in one shot.

I was at a local fast food place when I asked for a cup of water. I hardly ask for water but when the server gave it to me, I didn’t drink it right away. I drove around and pulled over to put my straw in the cup when I looked up and there was a man standing under a tree and fanning himself with a piece of cardboard. I pulled up to him and let down the window. I didn’t have any money and I told him that but I gave him the water. He was so thankful that I felt it the rest of the day. It doesn’t mater what you give, it’s wether you do it with s willing and cheerful heart.

When I lived in Georgia I had to call an ambulance because I thought I was having a heart attack. The stress of not being able to find a job and Christmas being a month away. I had been juggling bills and groceries for a few months. It all just added up. The EMT in the ambulance had asked what was going on and I told him. He was the first person I had spoken my fears, heartache and feeling of being worthless because there wasn’t going to be a CHristmas for my kids. He offered to pray with me. I lived in the boonies so it took a while to get to the hospital. After we got there he came back to tell me that things would work out you just have to believe. He then shook my hand and passed me money. He said it wasn’t much but it was the world to me. It gave me back some faith in the human race.
