Discussion Thursday: Favorite Moments
Last week was a more intense discussion – I figured this week we can have something a bit more lighthearted.
Family has just been Re-Posted *pokes* if you haven’t re-read it yet – Go Now!!!
Evolution is in the final stages of editing looking for Posting starting May 15th.
So question to everyone out there is: Your favorite director told you that they will film one scene from Family. Which scene would you pick? And Why? Curiously which director and how would he film it? Or how would you film it?
Curious minds want to know.
This is not my favorite scene in Family and almost one I wouldn’t want to see on the big screen so I’m not sure why I picked it.
The scene leading up to and after Aubrey’s death (wait, was that considered a spoiler…if that is news to you, go read Family).
Director…I think because it is a dramatic and sad scene you would need someone good at those so either Steven Spielberg or Ron Howard.
It’s one of those scenes you would want to see the power and emotion behind it, but don’t want to watch all at the same time.
*sniffles*
I think my choice would have to be from Family: A time to heal.
seeing Nick walk around the manor on Christmas night, just checking on his family and reconnecting with his home and enjoying everybody being happy after all of the drama in Egypt.
such a warm picture.
and the Director would have to be Frank Darabont.
Ohh that would be nicely shot …. Thanks!
Figured I might as well put my own in.
Scene when all the Clan Leaders arrive, (poor Russell Crowe would have to do a few costume changes) – directed by Ridley Scott
Lol yes, poor Crowe. He’d be exhausted by the end of the shoot. 😀
I would like to see Jack and Stephen’s funeral. As sad as it is, it truly is a lovely scene, and I would love to see these characters in such a poignant scene.
I’d want Peter Weir to direct, because he did a lovely job with Master and Commander. Or perhaps Gore Verbinski, because he also did a wonderful job with the ocean scenes in the first three PotC movies.
Ohh that would be beautiful and would so need tissues!!!
I really really cannot pick one scene 😛 you’re evil.
That being said, I think I’d go with the scene where they all arrive in their battle gear in Egypt. In my mind I see it like the gathering in the Fellowship of the Ring where everyone is riding up on their horses (one of my favorite scenes) so I have to say I’d like to see Peter Jackson film it.
And because I can’t follow directions the other scene I’d love to see is where Sam and company go to rescue Dean from Balthazar. Dean coming out and them having their little bitch/jerk moment is another one of my favorites. As for the director probably Jon Favreau because I do enjoy his action/battle sequences in the Iron Man movies and Cowboys and Aliens.
My favorite scene is when they rescue Nico from the sarcophagus. The reunion of Warrick and Nico, with all the others was very touching. Especially when the other Clan leaders and various others stopped them to touch Nico.
It made me think of the Fellowship’s reunion in the last movie. I would love to see Peter Jackson work that one.
I also just wanted to thank the General and everyone else for their hard work keeping us entertained. I love Sylum and I can’t wait to see what you have for us next.
Short peeking from under the sofa;
I personally would love to see the Christmas party or Abby’s wedding(and the birth, they belong together). They are such beautiful moments, make me warm and glowing inside from the love all the time. Family bonding time.
As for director, phew, can I say Don Bluth even tough he is an animations director? I loved An American Tail and his other works. Or Peter Howitt, he got the snark and funny moments pat down in Sliding Doors.
Sadly it’s take me far too long to figure this one out, but in the end I’d have to say I want a certain moment that’s not been written yet…
*cackles and runs away*
*snickers*
There are a few of those I have to admit I want to see 😀
