Lefthanders Day

I was almost completely left-handed until I was 5, almost six. When I say almost it was because I would print to the middle of the page with my left, then switch to my right.
To a five year old me it made perfect sense. Miss Reynolds yelled at me and said I had to pick a hand. I cried all the way home that day which upset my left-handed grandmother. My Aunt Na very gently explained why I needed to pick hand. (She taught first grade at a different school)
The next day I watched the other children writing — not one was left-handed. Not wanting to be different, I choose the right hand, even though it was a bit more difficult, because what five year old wants to be different.
I still use my left hand for a lot of things but now everyone should know why my handwriting is shit.
    LEFT-HANDERS FOREVER!!
