Louisiana Day

 

Louisiana Day!  Fitting for Sylum. 

A small Sylum Snippet (which of course is not from my list!! )

“It’s Louisiana Day.”  Tony stated as slid onto the bench thankful beyond mercy when Thomas set down a cup of coffee.

“That’s a thing?”  Speed asked, or something close as his head was tucked into his folded arms resting on the table.

“Supposedly.”  

“Don’t we already have Mardi Gras and stuff?” 

“Louisiana not New Orleans.”  Thomas pointed out setting down food in the middle of the table.

“How is this a thing?  I mean is in association when Jefferson bought the place and why are we hearing about it now?”  Speed sat up grabbed his cup of coffee and savored every sip.

“Actually the state declared April 30th as Louisiana Day but it’s not a holiday.”  Nick answered as he walked into the kitchen, half as tired as the kids.  It had been a long few days of training, Proximo was evil.  “This is some weird celebration of the greatness that is Louisiana.”

The kids stared at him, then went back to the coffee. 

“Yeah that was about my thought.”  Nick settled next to Tony.  “We have ten minutes to hide or flee the area.  I’ve distracted Proximo with Kenway.”

“I’ll get the car.”  Tony was just about out the door.

“Yeah we should tour Louisiana to celebrate.”  Speed rolled his eyes at his own words, but followed Tony.

“I’ve packed a lunch.”  Thomas held up a small basket.  “Shall we get out of here, sir.”

“They left us behind?”  Jethro glanced over to Horatio who shrugged.

“If we had though of it first…” Warrick pointed out cringing when he heard his name being yelled.

“Hey did you know it’s Louisiana Day?”  Brass commented as they grumbled out to the back yard to face Proximo.
