We get the first puppy of our life on July 31, 2012, a 9 weeks old Eurasier girl, named Emily. She was adorable -still is- and she has atittude! She was the alpha of the pack of five which I only realized once she’d been with us for about a year, and she still tries to protect me. When she was young she had a friend, a small hound dog, who liked to chase after mice and rabbits and teached Emily how to hunt and how to dig them out of their homes and to chase after them. So we have to take her everywhere on a leash as she hunts every moving animal. We can let her run free only in dogs’ areas with a fence, where she’s able to play with other dogs, as we are now living on a small village surrounded by hunting grounds, forrest and fields with deers, rabbits and foxes. She will be nine years old in May and we still love her to pieces although she does not like and and every dog. But, as I said, she has attitude and that suits us very well BTW: Look up “Eurasier” in Wikipedia and you know what I mean (the pup on the pic on the left looks like she did when she was youn)

Okay, here goes: A week before my aunt died, she called me and told me what was happening and that I was to move in with my mother after she was gone, because mother had never lived alone. Also they did not like the friend I was living with at the time. My friend had bought a chihuahua puppy a few months before and put the dog in MY name. I paid all the vet bills, and when Aunt Na died, the pup went with me. Needless to say, the friend was not happy, but the pup was in my name. (A good thing since a couple months later, animal control took all her animals and slapped her with a huge fine.)
Mother loved dogs, but was afraid she would fall over a small dog. For two weeks she would look down at Reina and say, “You’re cute, but I don’t like small dogs.” One day she looked at her and said, “You’re cute but I … Oh, come here sweetheart!”
From that time on, Reina would divide her time between the two of us. When morher passed away, Reina stood in her room and howled.
Reina lived for 15 years. I still miss her, but I have my Pinkie now and I love her fiercely!
