Sylum Clan

We’re in the Final Stretch

*dances around*

Finished Chapter 7 of Evolution!!!! Despite the extras Bob tossed in! Hah! *eyes evil bunny*

This particular Arc has been a long ass journey.  Between RL and Bob, it’s been started, stopped, started, reworked, additions added, re-started and finally now close to finishing!

For a thanks for sticking by me:

Tony stood up next to his brother; “We’ll discuss this later.”

Speed just grinned over at him. “You complained dad didn’t take you on the Vatican adventure.  Admit it you haven’t had this much fun in years.”

“We will for sure be discussing this later.” They looked over their shoulders to see Jethro and Horatio glaring at the both of them.

Sylum Question and Answer: #6

Q: Are there really dragons? Where are they located? How are they kept hidden from the world?

Yes.

To quote Captain Lennox: “My inner five year old is going Oh My God it’s a Fucking Dragon!”

As how they are kept hidden, depends on the dragon and location.  It’s easier to hide a Tiny Terror in the tall grasses of Africa, a Mushu in the bamboo forests, or a Night Fury in the dark skies above Norway.

Sylum Question and Answer: #5

Q: In future arcs, why is Nick dressed as though he belongs in the Old West? How are there Old West stories in the future arcs of Sylum?

Ahh I see someone was studying the Coming Soon Video.  That particular storyline is still in the works, Bob has been fidgety with it.  The major thing I will say on it – there is a time in everyone’s life that they will seek the simpler times in life.

Bob 2 – AMEN!

Sylum Question and Answer: #4

Q: Are all Rogues considered to be evil/bad/etc or are there some that are recognized as just wanting to live alone and who have no intention of breaking the “rules”?

A Rogue is defined as someone that lives outside the Clan System.  Even if you really don’t want to be part of a Clan you need to associate with one for your protection.  There are members of Clans that have sworn their loyalty but are left alone and not called up on if something where to happen.

Bob 2 says – those who live outside the ‘rules’ as it were, are by their nature rebellious although there are those who eventually find their way to a Clan there will always be those who desire to be different and their inability or unwillingness to understand the correct ways of Vampire society will always make them instantly suspicious.

Sylum Question and Answer: #3

Q: How many stories do you have planned to take place throughout Sylum’s timeline? [including backtracking to fill things in]

As many as Evil Bob and Bob 2 keep tossing at us.

*eyes extremely long list of stories to complete*

We’ll be at this for a while….

Sylum Question and Answer: #2

Q: How many major story arcs do you have planned for after Evolution?

The Wiki I think has seven listed, but at the moment there have been many changes made dealing with future arcs. The next Arc is actually 3 combined into one. After that there are at least 4 maybe… eyes Bob. Actually just recently an idea popped up on how to end the series, though there is a lot of story before that moment, and let’s not forget the fact there’s 7000 years of history prior to Clan War still to deal with.

Bob 2 says – there could be more in the past then even that!

Sylum Question and Answer: #1

Through August I took questions that you would like to see answered.  Over the next few weeks I’ll be posting the Question and my Answers (look for Evil Bob 2 comments throughout)

Feel free to discuss/comment.

Q: I had a bunny attack me with a Sylum fic (which I could not begin to write) a while back, Tony has problems dealing with having to dust a rouge who just happens to be another Templar Knight.

A: Technically this wasn’t a question, but I’ll go ahead and answer the concept of the idea.  Antonio Crisafi is the last Templar Knight, there are no others.

Ezio Auditore da Firenze has made sure of it, leaving only his Sire.

Glares at Bob

While working diligantly on Evolution Chapter 7 – Bob decided to be a twit and toss in a few new things that I wasn’t expecting.

*glares*

The evil cackling I’m hearing from him is not encouraging.

*headdesk*

Still working on Chapter 7 – matter of fact down to the last major scene (though a difficult and complex to write).  Even with the new addition – I’m happy with the progress.

*eyes bunny*

The Plot Crab Has Left the Building

So I see Bob posted *eyes the bunny* and mentioned the plot crab leaving his summer job from Disneyland.

After a recent trip to Disneyland I noticed that wait shocking the Plot Crab was actually missing from the Pirate’s Ride.

With Plot Crab

Without Plot Crab

So where is Plot Crab – it’s to early for Crab Season.

Which means he’s lurking in the house.

*Cue scary music*

A Finished Chapter

So Bj is screeching around that she finished Chapter 6 of Evolution.  *eyeroll* as if she couldn’t have done it without me.

Anyway! She only has Chapter 7 & 8 to go, and basically gave me a challenge to ‘bring it on’.  Well at least I’m not going to be so evil that I’ll add chapters to Evolution.  Mainly because I’m looking forward to tormenting her with the next Arc *cackles evilly*, but doesn’t mean I’m going to toss a few side bunnies her way.

*looks over bunny pen*

Hmm lets see there’s the Italian – wait he’s still go his main story in the works and Bob 2 may actually try and kill me if I make him work with Dan Brown much longer

Ohh there are some Vegas bunnies running a casino in the living room *picks one up and grins* I’ll set this one loose.

*watches bunny run off to play*

Oh and it looks like the Plot Crab has come home from his summer job at Disneyland and he looks like he’s brought a few friends.

Release the Crabs!!!

*shifty eye* No that wasn’t said in a brogue accent!

HA! That should keep her busy for a while!! Teach her to challenge me!

Oy Vey!!

I saw what Bob and Alien had to say about pushing The Boss and Gil about the writing – on the one hand, yay! new stuff to do – I’m actually a little bored to tell the truth. On the other hand, oy vey! the work I’ll have to do! If I’m lucky, it’ll take some time for everything to cross my desk and it’ll only come a bit at a time. If not…well, I’ve always worked well under pressure.  ::checks list again:: *headdesk*

I forgot to say – love that inspiration pic. ::stares:: Really. I like it a lot. 😀

Alien’s Summer of Fun

*hops in with shades and a towel*

Hello, everyone. I saw that Bob was talking about what he was doing to torment BJ, and I thought I’d give you the inside scoop on what kind of torture I have in store for my owners.

First, there’s the next story for Border Clan, entitled Say Goodnight, Not Goodbye. It takes place in the early summer of 2006 and involves many of Border’s members. I’ve been jumping on top of Gil’s head daily to get more and more words written, and it’s coming along swimmingly if I may say so.

I’ve also started my annual poking for stories from Shep for Oceania Clan, most notably from the H50 and NCIS LA characters. She has no idea about the teeth-sharpening appointment I had a couple of days ago just especially for her. *cackles evilly and prepares to bite*

*coughs* Okay, where was I?

Oh, yes. I also have many fun things planned for Gil for the latter half of the year.

I’ve decided that Don and Charlie Eppes need to come out and play, and their story has to be told, and on the other side of the country, the men and women of the BAU will find themselves in a little bit of a windstorm soon enough.

Daniel Boone and David Crockett are getting most insistent that their own stories need to be told, and they’re tied up with the stories of other characters within Border, most notably Chris Larabee and Jason Doyle, who will be making his Border debut in Say Goodnight, Not Goodbye.  He’s been around for some time, but had been busy elsewhere until recently.  I fully plan to brand my taser and threaten her until she begins the detailed outlines for these stories.

I prodded Gil’s short timestamp that takes place after The Darkest Hour and manipulated it into becoming an at least 10k word fic. *rubs paws together with evil glee* That should teach her to ever think she can write anything short.  There is also a timestamp dealing with Dom, Brian, and their new Mate Ronon that takes place just before and during Evolution that I think needs to be written, just as soon as Evolution is complete. She will be hearing from me about this one soon.

I have many other bunnies that I can lob at Gil and Shep’s heads  at any given moment, when they least expect it, for so many characters. I’m also conspiring with the one I call Shadowdancer, the graphic muse that lurks in the dark recesses of the home, making her presence known without ever being seen. We have big plans for Gil. She has no idea what we’re planning, but it should be fun when she finds out.

Until then, a small snippet from Say Goodnight, Not Goodbye….

His arms flailed about for a moment before he managed to find purchase on her shoulders, and then he tried to shove her away, a movement that was as ineffectual as he feared. Still he continued to struggle against her, becoming more and more lightheaded, his meager attack on her lessening, until he couldn’t move his arms anymore.

His vision darkened until it was as if he were looking through tiny pinholes, and he could vaguely hear someone speaking, but his drifting mind couldn’t latch onto any of the words. So this is death, he thought to himself.

Then a splash of warm, metallic liquid splashed into his mouth briefly, making him gag, until his body kicked in and drank down what was offered. His mind remained in that vague nothingness until the liquid was gone, and he faded into the black.

The Theory of Evolution

While Bj is distracted with actual work (she had this theory that she has to work for a living and not devote all of her time to me… What is up with that?!) Anyway. While she’s distracted I figure I would give a sneak peak into my evil plans.

Evolution. It’s been a slow process, I blame the Damn Italian  while ignoring the fact I was the one who came up with that storyline.

Evolution. Yes I’m getting to that.  Chapter 6 is in the final stages which means only two more chapters to go!! Which is good cause I have evil plans and ideas that need attention.

There’s the IMF Bunny that I’ve outfitted with full gear including harness and wire, ear piece to communicate to the Yogurt Eating Bunny From Hell (or so Bj calls him), a tricked out bow and arrows, and the Mission Impossible theme song that plays as he hovers over Bj.

Then there’s the next story in The Fisherman Series.  As of the moment Plot Crab is working his summer job at the Pirates Ride at Disneyland – when he gets done torturing the Tourista’s he should be back tormenting … working with Bj to get that story done.

James Longworth is demanding his story – I’m not sure why he thinks he gets priority but he’s a snarky bastard and sneaky.  And that Mate of his even more sneaky.  I can admire that!

Then there are the small bunnies that I leave laying around for Bj to trip over at the most inconvenient moments.  *grins wickedly*

Snippet Teaser (Because my kid Bob 2 learned being an evil tease from me)

“The problem with you.” The sound of sirens could he be heard in the distance as smoke bellowed out of the office building. “You have no faith in humanity.  Theirs or yours.”

*falls over dead*

The next time Speed makes a suggestion that there should be something in Sylum involving a book, a film, and enough research to be able to do a guided tour around Rome with my eyes shut and my paws tied behind my back..

…I’m moving to Rome.

Teaser – unedited (because I’m evil and y’all need to learn to live with that!):

Saint Peter’s Square.

They had to be close to the end.

They hit another gate.

Heavier.

Dustier.

Also unlocked.

They were inside the city boundary itself, surely?

The noise outside faded off a little.

Still they ran.

A sharp turn to the right.

And without warning the Passetto simply ended.

A thick wall of riveted iron blocked their way.

Nick slapped his palms on it.

“No way!  Not after this!!” he cried, scrabbling around for a handle, a switch or a release mechanism of some kind that would give them access.

He felt like a rat in a laboratory maze, facing one too many puzzles before a wrong decision blew his constituent atoms into nothingness.

“Wait!  Wait, wait!!”  Langdon realised what they were facing, and totally understood the fury Nick was experiencing.  “Un Modo Portale!  A one way portal.  Architects call it a Senza Chiave.”

A keyless door.

For total security from the outside.

It was perfectly smooth.

No hinges.

No knobs.

No entry.

A surge of utter panic hit both Vampires square in the chest.

“It only opens one way,” the Professor explained, “on the other side!”

‘Demons and Angels’ – by Timothy Quinn, coming soon to Sylum Clan.
