Pet Bird Day

With this comes a Sylum Snippet!

Nico glanced over at Thomas, who was acting like the small chichie plaque was not on his desk.  “Are we going to talk about it?

“No.”  Thomas set down the tray, moving the coffee, muffin and mug of blood.

“Where did it come from?”  He couldn’t figure out which family member would not just buy it, but set it up in Nick’s office.

Thomas sighed. “Sadly, I haven’t figured it out yet.”

He sat back in his chair studying it for a few moments.  “Speed and Tony haven’t been in my office, at least not that I know of.  Warrick, well I can see him doing this.  Though since John and Harold visit more, I wouldn’t put past either of them.  Well Harold would get John to do it for him.”

“How do you know I didn’t do it.”

“Did you?”  Nico glanced at one of his oldest friends.  “Did Arthur put you up to it, this could be revenge for the library cat plaque I sent.”

Thomas chuckled.  “Speaking of ugly knick knacks, have you annoyed Mr. Benedict lately?”

“No, but maybe I should.”  He crossed his arms staring at the plaque only to snort when one of the Budgie snuck into his office and settled on it.   He wasn’t surprised when there was two cameras that took a picture.  “JARVIS?”

“Yes sir.”

“You know exactly who did this, you see everything Thomas doesn’t which isn’t a lot.”  Nico took his coffee, and focused back on his computer.  The plaque was growing on him, might as well keep it.

“It was Colonel Sheppard.”

“My French kid?”  Nico smiled, as he grabbed his phone and sent Shep the picture.  A few seconds he got a smiling emoji.  He took a moment, then sent out a lunch invitation it had been a while since the two had actually sat down and talked.   He got a thumbs up in reply.

“So we’re keeping it?”  Thomas adjusted the plaque slightly so it would show more to the room.

“Yes.  After all it’s pretty accurate.”

“Indeed, sir.”
