Love this! Love to see the family-side and domesticity of Sylum’s badasses. One little correction if I may: After the memorial ceremony, when family members are deorating family altars, you write “Vince and Leon…” I think you mean “Vince and Jesse” Thanks so much for writing and sharing this!
Excellent view of Border Clan including back stories and reminders of loss. Esteban’s comment is perfect showing the symbiotic relationship between Border Clan and the town. Even badasses have a soft side.
Who is Leon?
I kinda knew about the Day of the Dead, but never really thought about the significance of the traditions, so thank you for giving me a kick in the pants to go and actually read up on it.
