Since we’re on a sea kick …
Favorite seafood?
As we just had Tolkien Reading Day.
What is that one book, series that you always re-read?
I’m not one to go and re-read material there are a few books that I have read numerous of times, but mostly once read I usually move onto the next.
Travel.
Where is your favorite place to go? It could be a one time thing or someplace you always go to.
For me: New Orleans will always be my second home. Living there not so much with the humidity.
I’m always surprised at how short February is.
Did it seem to go fast for you? Or more like FINALLY it’s over?
Though after how long this January seemed to be – I swear it was 6 months! This February felt even shorter.
Earlier this month Phil said it was 6 more weeks of Winter.
How’s the weather where you’re at?
Me – well it’s been cold, then not, then rain, then cold … but hey here in CA we need the rain.
It’s Valentines Day!
Plans? Out with a loved one? Staying home?
It was Valentines Day?
For me: Took the day off from work and just enjoying the day with my partner in crime as we plot.
Music.
We’ve talked about it a few times. So what type is your favorite?
Do you still listen to CD’s/Tapes/Records and have Spotify or Apple Music.
I still have CD’s in a box somewhere. Never got back into Vinyl yet old enough for the first go around.
Probably have noticed I use Spotify, my partner in crime uses Apple Music.
As for types of music – it’s all over the map. Imagine Dragons to Hans Zimmer to Vo Williams.
We’ve gone through elements of 2024, so – what’s in store for 2025?
Goals? Shows/Movies/Books looking forward to?
As I’m following the Rebecca Yarrows stories – her next one is this month, and Alton Brown has a book coming out this year.
Also 2nd season of Andor is coming out – there are a FEW shows I watch – plus 2nd season of The Last of Us
As for Goals – working to get healthier especially after last year!
Keeping with the theme!
Favorite TV Series of the year?
I admit do not watch a lot of TV – I’m more like a Discovery Food Network type of shows.
I can recommend Mysteries of the Abandon – It’s a pretty awesome show.
Going with the theme from last week’s Coffee Post.
Favorite Movie of 2024
For me – I admit for me it was Deadpool & Wolverine
For me:
Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros was amazing, got me hooked by the first chapter.
From Under A Truck an Autobiography – by Josh Brolin was an very interesting insight on the actor.
Clanlands by Sam Hueghn & Graham MacTavish made me laugh and cry – learned so much about Scottish history.
As reflect back to 2024 (though I would like to forget it personally)
What were the good moments.
Despite the shit 2024 was for me personally.
I had good moments – advanced my cooking skills, advancement in the job, fun moments at Disneyland.
So what was yours?
In that weird week between Christmas and New Years – what do you do?
