World Whiskey Day

Pulls out the Whiskey and a few glasses – okay who wants a drink?

And here’s a snippet for Paula who wanted Paul Avery.

Yes I’m still working through my list!! Have to find the right day to make some of these work.

“What do you think you’re doing?”  Harrison stood in the doorway muscular arms crossed over his chest eyes narrowing at Avery.

Paul stood at the bar on his house boat, hand on the whiskey tumbler.  “Nothing.”

James huffed, walked over to the bar and leaned against it.  He didn’t try to grab the bottle, instead just gave his friend a concerned look.  “Wanna talk about it.”

“It’s International Whiskey Day.”

“So you’re going to toss five years of sobriety away for an internet day?”

Paul sighed and put his hand down. “No, not really.  There was stupid Netflix show on about Zodiac Killer, and how some idiot thinks he solved it.  And I know what happened, I was there, and if this stupid kid keeps pushing bad things will happen.  And I’ve worked so hard to keep Greyson safe and if some wanna be blogger who thinks he’s the next Bernstein gets himself or Greyson killed – I’ll be pissed.”

James took Avery’s hand and lead him over to the couch, got him seated, dumped Mrs. Chippy the 3rd on to his lap, and went into the kitchen.  A few moments later he came out with ice cream, covered with hot fudge, whip cream and at least two cherries.

Without a word Paul took the offered bowl, pulled his legs onto the couch, and dug into the treat.   James turned on the TV, scrolled past crime documentaries giving Avery a side-eye as he did and found the animation section.

“Seriously we’re watching  a series on racing snails?”  Avery let Mrs. Chippy lick the cream off his spoon.  “We could watch Crab Hunting.”

“Fuck no.” He clicked on the show.  “You’re an idiot, who needs racing snails.”
